Coach Mike is a 2x NJ State place winner 5th/3rd, 2x Region Champ, 2x freestyle state placer from Livingston, NJ.
Coach Mike is a Region 4 Hall of Fame inductee for NJ and wrestled at Rider University. He started at both 133/141and being ranked as high as 10th in the country his junior year before stopping due to injury his senior year.
Mike continued training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and qualified for No-gi Worlds before turning a heavy focus on international wrestling. Through Total Force he gets to pass on knowledge to aspiring young students and has been able to help produce a multitude of champions on all levels. In 2013 Mike was ranked in the top 3 running for #1 Freestyle coach in the state of NJ under his previous club Force.
He is a Board Member for USAW New Jersey and is the current Director for Women’s Wrestling where he works to build girls programs throughout the state and grow wrestling on all levels. He is a National Team NJ Coach who volunteers his time helping develop and train our states best wrestlers for national competition during the spring international season.
Coach Omar was a National Prep runner-up as a senior in 1997, an age-group AAU National Champion and saw first hand how wrestling during the middle school years provided him with a foundation of skills that helped to make his transition to high school significantly more manageable. He now finds himself in a position to help others build a similar foundation prior to taking on all the challenges of a demanding college preparatory educational experience.
Omar was also a two-sport standout at St. Benedict’s, having competed for the legendary soccer coach Rick Jacobs, while wrestling under the tutelage of Mark Gerbino, Mike DiPiano, Sr. and the late great, Roman Ruderman.
He has helped to produce a bevy of age-group state and national champions through other wrestling clubs.
Omar is currently the Head Coach at St. Benedict's Prep, Head Coach of our Schoolboy Team NJ, Head of Usaw-NJ Cultural Exchange, and is the director for the Road 2 Redemption International Camp.
Utilizing his trips across seas, Coach Omar actively seeks out the best training methodologies across the world for our students and uses his unique world experiences to foster the precise development for our wrestlers on all levels. Coach Omar is in charge of curriculum development and design of our Total Force program throughout the year.
Coach Leigh makes her way back to her home state of New Jersey and has joined Total Force as her home base of training, as she prepares for the journey towards the 2020 Olympics.
Her accolades are long and accomplishments unprecedented. She is a 2016 PanAm Bronze Medalist, 2015 World Bronze Medalist, 2015 US Open Champion, 2015 Dave Schultz Champion, 3x World Team Member, 7x National Team Member, HS/College All-American and Captain-US Army Reserve.
Coach Leigh will be training, running classes, clinics, private sessions, and more as she prepares to once again take on the nation and the world!
